Calicut     Day 1

 
Arrival at Calicut(Kozhikode) airport - the third largest city of Kerala. The place is famous as Vasco De Gama, first European to land on the Indian coasts, landed here in 1498 AD. A port city located amidst the lush green spice Plantations, Kozhikode takes you on a momentous journey through beautiful backwaters, picturesque beaches and ancient palaces. Check in to the hotel. Proceed for a short sightseeing which includes the beach, Beypore etc. Evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.
  Nilambur   Day 2
 
After breakfast proceed to Nilambur - is a small town in Malappuram district of Kerala, South India. Nilambur is situated close to the Nilgiri range of the Western Ghats, the beautiful town on the bank of the Chaliyar River. The place is noted for its tribal settlements, the world's first Teak Museum, vast rain forests, waterfalls and ancient residences of maharajas called as kovilakoms. Nilambur
 
 
is also famous for its bamboos. Nilambur is also home to the oldest teak plantations in the world. visit the world's tallest or biggest teak tree is in the Nilambur Teak Preserve. Banglavu Kunnu (Bungalow Hill) is famous for it winding road (in the sides ayurvedic herbs are planted)to the officers cottages for British (Now it is a forest range office) and it is very beautiful. Overnight at Malappuram.
  Vythiri    Day 3
 
 
Early morning visit Aspinwall’s rubber estate to see the process of rubber tapping. Check out from hotel. Transfer to Vythiri. The flora of Wayanad are characteristic of the Western Ghats and the plantation crops grown in the cool climate. A major portion of the district is covered by coffee. Trees of the wild type like rose-wood, anjili (Artocarpus), mullumurikku (Erthrina), several species of caussia and
 
many other varieties are still preserved here and there, to give shade to the coffee plants. These trees give a dembalance of wilderness to the landscape of Wayanad. Check in at the hotel and afternoon visit Harrison’s Malayalam Plantations. Optional –see the various process of tea. Overnight at Vythiri.
  Sulthan Bathery     Day 4
 
Morning proceed to Sulthan Bathery. also known as Sulthan's Battery lies approximately 25 kms. from Kalpetta. Associated with Hyder Ali and Tipu Sulthan, Sulthan's Bathery no longer has a fort. Check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Cardomom Plantations in Meppadi, coffee plantations in Meenangadi and pepper plantations in Pulpally. Night back to hotel.
  Coorg      Day 5
 
Reach Coorg by afternoon. Miles and miles of coffee estates, with shiny leaves glimmering with rain drops as a weak sun filters through the shade trees. Berries just beginning to form, packets and packets of precious beans and powder stocked in the shops of Madikeri. Smell of coffee and wild poinsettias everywhere. Sharp round greens of pepper on the vines alongside the coffee,green cardamom, sun kissed oranges. Coorg is a feast for the
 
 
senses. This unspoilt "country of million hills" in the state of Karnataka, is India's coffee bowl. The customs of Coorgs or Kodavas, who inhabit this picturesque land, are unique . The Tibetan Village at Bylakuppe is the largest Tibetan settlement in South India. Coffee picking time is from November to March. Overnight at Coorg.
  Mangalore     Day 6
 
After breakfast, proceed to Mangalore. The city, derives its name from the goddess Mangaladevi, and lies along the backwaters formed by the Netravati and Gurpur rivers on the Western coast and is bordered by the Arabian Sea. With its narrow, winding streets fringed with coconut palms, quaint houses with terracota tiled roofs, beautiful beaches, temples and churches, and the aroma of spicy coconut curries, it has preserved its old world charm. The ancient 9th century Managala Devi temple and the 11th century Kadri Manjunatha Temple with its exquisite bronze images of Lokeswara coexist with splendid churches and mosques.
  Mangalore     Day 7
